Cooks Flea Market

December 12, 2011

Sunday December 11th  the prayer station traveled to Cooks Flea Market for 3 hours. A retired CEF missionary from Salem Baptist was present and gave the wordless book story of the birth of Christ. Many children listened to the presentation. The Gospel was given during that and also during the prayers.

We gave out approximately 50 of the CTC labeled Titanic Commemorative Post card Tracts. Actually people (both teens and adults) walked up and took those off the table and we did not need to hand them out !   More than 15 folks came up to the prayer station for prayer. Some were the vendors and their families and some were shoppers. Detailed requests were passed on to the Christ Temple Church prayer warriors for the week and are posted on the Christ Temple Church prayer requests!  Most were already followers of Christ but a few were not. We always try to give the Gospel is in all the prayers. Go to www.ChristTempleChurch.com in Winston Salem.

Prayer Station and Christ Temple to Homeless Center on Thanksgiving Eve

December 4, 2011

The homeless facility (Bethesda Center) was the focus of a Thanksgiving Eve outreach by Christ Temple Church and the Prayer Station.  The church and Smoke From Heaven catering provided the meals to the homeless folks being housed there that night. All  who participated were more blessed by the giving than those who were being given to!  Many persons came up to the prayer station for prayers. Most were fighting addictions and wanted prayers for deliverence and protection from the drug dealers. Several wanted Bibles and were given used ones.

This month (December) the world is all thinking  "Who is this Jesus Christ and just what is this tradition about?" As believers we must all do our part by either witnessing with our words about the Lord and what He has done for us or by giving a quality Gospel tract to a person. If believers are still shy about that all we need do is place a tract in a strategic location! That's easy! Get great tracts at "livingwaters.com" or google "free gospel tracts."

What is a quality tract  and what is a strategic location?  It is one that mentions both believeing in the Lord Jesus Christ AND repenting of sin. It was Jesus himself who in the book of Luke said "You...

Prayer Station to Christian Middle Eastern Festival

September 29, 2011

On Sunday September 25 Christ Temple Church took the prayer station to the Christian Middle Eastern Festival in Kernersville.  The event is an annual event held at the Friendly Arabic Church.

Approximately 5 "Friendly Arabic" children came up to the station for prayer regarding a friend who has cancer. They turned in a written prayer request for their friend's healing. Then all of them stood around the station, bowed their little heads, and we prayer together for their friend. Two other children prayed for Marco to recover from surgery. Two different churches asked for prayer regarding their churches needs... Crossfire Community Church members are seeking a building in east Winston Salem for a permanent meeting place and Pastor Lee Monroe prayed for God's direction at his church (Solid Rock United Bibleway) as well as for a furnace for the church. Other prayer requests were for jobs and job transfers to go well. A family of 6 were transfering to Charlotte and wanted the Lord to guide them in serving Him at their new home .  Mr. "Y" asked for God to direct a better job his way and Mr. "Y" 's son asked for his friends in Russia to find salvation. He needs God to arrange his job schedule so that he can go to church on Sundays.

Many of...

Prayer ststion last Sunday at Bolton Park

July 6, 2011

The prayer station was placed at Bolton Park on Sunday July 3rd under the shelter (light rain was in and out). A friend who is retired from CEF and I were given prayer requests from 6 people. One man (Alex) asked that his 84 year old mother be able to live long enough to see that his son be able to leave a homeless shelter. Several teenagers (4 different ones) asked for prayer for family and life issues. Especially one woman asked for prayer for her brothers (one of which is incarcerated now for 14 years - she believes is innocent) and for herself.

The prayer station will have some long range plans posted on this blog in the near future.

Tract events are also being tentatively being planned now for the following:  Harry Potter final movie opening July 15 (hand out optical illusion Gospel tracts);  July 30 through August 30 (hand out Titanic tracts) at a nationwide exhibit tour at the museum in Greensboro.

Children's Miracle Network Fundraiser at Party World

June 18, 2011

On Saturday June 18 the Children's Miracle Network Fundraiser was held at the Food Lion and Party World in the Kinnamon Village Shopping Center at the corner of Kinnamon and Clemmons Roads in Clemmons!  The prayer station was placed in the parking lot in front of Party World and Party World placed baloons all around the area to attract folks to the area.

A fire engine and a nascar race car was in the parking lot as well as silent bid items and food! God's weather was sunny and hot!

We praise Him for the prayers that were lifted up on this perfect day (even though hot) !
